New York Safe Boating Course
New York State does not mandate a boating safety certificate for motor boat operators over the age of 18, however, operators between ages 10 and 17 are mandated. All operators of personal watercraft are mandated to have a boating safety certificate and must be at least 14 years of age. A boating safety certificate is strongly recommended for all boaters.
